Genevieve 2.0

I just came back from a three-day conference on Enterprise 2.0, which was held in Boston.

Don't call me an evangelist, but my head is spinning from the event. New words, new names, new tools.

I'll have to try and write a longer post to fully explain myself. Yes, there was a lot of hype and posturing during the three days, but there was also some truthful insights and glimpses into what is now close to possible (a lot!). Studying human behavior and collaborative tendencies have never been more important.

Some buzz words that I took away: social software, social bookmarking, SocialText, Thinkfree, SuiteTwo, Kapow, Ma.gnolia, 9rules, on and on ...

I came back home determined to re-open my anemic del.i.cio.us account and feed it links and tags right away. It's like a tamagotchi, I swear. You want your tag cloud to grow and give back to the Web 2.0 world.

Jeremy's new job

So, my brother Jeremy is now working for TEQUILA, which is part of the big innovative ad agency Chiat Day. The website is pretty cool -- you should dig around and see the portfolio and stuff. Jeremy works in the LA design offices, which are like 10 minutes from my brothers' apartment in Marina del Rey.

Ixnay Anzabeth!

I am an avid reader of the comic strip "For Better or for Worse" and I know that the creator, Lynn Johnston, is going to end the strip this year. For the most part, I like where the characters are at, and found each of their final stories compelling (April and her band, Mike writing his first novel, etc.). But please, please, please -- I really hope that Elizabeth does NOT end up with Anthony, her teenage boyfriend who is being shopped as her endgame!

Anthony is so whiny and has pined for Liz forever. I was sad when the Paul thing did not work out, and Warren, too -- I liked Warren the pilot the best! Now they have Anthony shaving his mustache off, as if that would make him more attractive to Liz (or us!). Please! He looks like a totally different person, but still not the person for Elizabeth.

Ugh. I hope Elizabeth just chooses herself! Sorry for the rant.
