Belated Thanksgiving

Lynna, Peter, and Genevieve in the National Museum of the American Indian
Roger and I were fortunate enough to spend Thanksgiving with our good Stanford friends in the DC area. Peter and Lynna kindly let us stay in their apartment and Christina hosted an awesome dinner. We also got to catch up with Jolie and Nancy, who were in town visiting.
We spent a few days museum hopping, including a visit to the Smithsonian museums on Air and Space and the new National Museum of the American Indian.

On Thursday, we all met up at Christina's for the holiday feast, complete with a few tasty vegan options!

Feeling fully sated from the delicious turkey and fixings, we decided to walk off the food coma and drove to the mall to pose for pictures in front of the monuments.

Back at Chez Russell, the whole gang, Naranja-plus!
We came back to the apartment and spent the rest of the evening swapping stories, watching Survivor (the Flip episode - got me hooked!), and playing Taboo.
The rest of our weekend was really nice and sunny. We visited a couple more museums, including the Spy Museum, and, of course, a few bookstores (Politics and Prose, Kramers, Olssons, etc.), as well as several coffeeshops (Murky's Coffee and Misha's).

A wonderful holiday overall!
