Golden State

After Rekha and Brian's wedding in Chicago, and Grace's wedding in Pasadena, Roger and I rendez-vous'ed in San Jose to spend time with the Say clan.

We spent our first full day, Monday, April 18, driving around San Francisco. For lunch, we meandered over to the Ferry Building, and sampled fried oysters from one of the cafeteria-style vendors and enjoyed gelato from Ciao Bella.

Then we headed south to see the revered Half Moon Bay and enjoyed a late afternoon coffee break at the Ritz-Carlton.

On our last full day in the Bay Area, we took Roger's mom on a drive to Sausalito, very windy country. We took a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge on the way back into the city.



Later, we convinced Mom that she had to see a baseball game at SBC Park before we headed back east (see photo above).

Although the Giants lost to the Diamondbacks (see my post re: Javy Vazquez), 2 to 1, a good time was had by all!
